About

MAKING CHANGE POSSIBLE

It is an all too alarming statistic that individuals living in country areas are 24x more likely to be hospitalised as a result of domestic violence than their city counterparts. Allawah Cottage opened in February 2022 in an effort to support women and children in such circumstances. The Jobs Australia Enterprises initiative is supported by a motivated and passionate team of locals, as well as receiving generous support from local businesses, groups, organisations, and individuals.

Offer support

Do you have time, skills, or resources you can offer to support our work? You can donate financially or purchase our merchandise. We are also always looking for volunteers. Please reach out via the channels listed at the bottom of this page or via our socials to find out more.

Be an ally

Do you want to be an ally to women and children experiencing domestic violence? Support the cause by being an advocate against domestic violence both within your own community and beyond. It is critical that we stand together against gender-based violence. There are many education platforms to help inform your understanding of domestic violence, please visit https://www.1800respect.org.au/violence-and-abuse/domestic-and-family-violence to find out more.

We would also highly recommend Women's Community Shelters as a great resource in NSW.
